กลุ่มแฟนคลับอย่างเป็นทางการของวง มีชื่อเรียกว่า S♥ne (소원) อ่านว่า โซ-วอน มาจากคำว่า So + One So มาจากชื่อวง So Nyeo Shi Dae ส่วน One หมายถึงแฟนคลับ O กับ O รวมกัน กลายเป็น ♥ ดังนั้นชื่อ S♥ne หมายถึง So Nyeo Shi Dae กับแฟนคลับ รวมกันกลายเป็นใจดวงเดียวกัน นอกจากนี้ชาวเน็ตบางคนยังบอกถึงที่มาของชื่อนี้ด้วยเช่น ♥ นั้นมีความหมายได้อีกว่าคือ ยองวอนฮี (영원히-ตลอดไป) รวมไปถึง วอน ที่แปลว่าวงกลม ซึ่งหมายถึงไม่ใช่เฉพาะแฟนคลับพวกเธอในเกาหลีเท่านั้น แต่หมายถึงแฟนคลับในที่ต่างๆในโลกใบนี้ด้วย

ชื่อแฟนคลับนี้ถูกประกาศเป็นครั้งแรกในงาน The 1st Year Party งาน Fan Meeting ฉลองครบรอบเดบิวต์ 1 ปีของ So Nyeo Shi Dae วันที่ 5 สิงหาคม 2008 [6]

ก่อนหน้าที่จะมีการเปิดเผยชื่อแฟนคลับอย่างเป็นทางการนั้น แทยอน (หัวหน้าวง) ได้กล่าวว่าจะขอเรียกกลุ่มแฟนคลับของพวกเธอว่า Honey (กล่าวในงาน Seoul Music Awards 2008) ซึ่งคำว่า Honey เป็นหนึ่งในชื่อเพลงในอัลบั้มเปิดตัวของเกิร์ลสเจเนเรชัน (Into The New World The Single Album)และเพลง Honey นั้น ก็มีชื่อภาษาเกาหลีว่า 소원 (โซวอน) เช่นเดียวกันกับชื่อแฟนคลับทางการในปัจจุบัน {소원 อ่านว่า โซ-วอน แปลว่า พร (Wish)}
