| Most popular actors for 2nd half of 2008 – Jang Dong-gun and Kim Tae-hee (Seoul, Yonhap News, Reporter Kang Jong-hoon) 2008-09-20  Jang Dong-gun and Kim Tae-hee have been selected as the most popular male and female actors for the 2nd half of 2008. The most popular in singer section are Big Bang and Lee Hyo-ri while Yoo Jae-suk and Shin Bong-sun are the most popular in the comedian section. Marketing research firm Lee’s PR & Research Ltd announced the result of entertainer popularity survey for 2nd half of 2008 which it conducted on 1,301 people aged 13 to 65 in 5 big cities nationwide from 25 to 31 August 2008. In the male movie actor and TV drama actor section, Jang Dong-gun defended his No 1 position which he has held since 2nd half of 2005 with 27.5% (Note: should be 1st half of 2005). Jo In-sung took the 2nd place (9.8%) and No 3 is Kwan Sang-woo (9.3%). Others in the top ten include Won Bin, Jung Woo-sung, Anh Sung-ki, Kim Rae-won, Song Kwang-ho, Bae Yong-joon, and Cha Seung-won. In the female movie actor and TV drama actor section, Kim Tae-hee maintained her No 1 position in 1st half 2008 with 20.1% while Jeon Ji-hyun took 2nd place with 9.5% . They were followed by Lee Young-ae, Son Ye-jin, Kim Hye-soo, Kim Hye-ja, Song Hye-kyo, Han Ye-seul, Jeon Do-yeon and Lee Na-young. In the male singer section, Big Bang (19.7%) took the No. 1 position from Rain (18.1%) who had previously held the position for 6 times. No. 3 to No 5 were Lee Seung-ki, Tae Jina and SG Wannabe respectively. For the female singers, Lee Hyo-ri (36.7%) beat Wonder Girls (15.9%) and Girl Generation (11.1%) to recapture the No 1 position. In the male comedian section, Yoo Jae-suk took No.1 again with 51.1% and beat Kang Ho-dong (25.6%). They were followed by Lee Soo-Geon, Park Myung-soo and Yoo suh-yoon. For female comedian, Shin Bong-sun maintained her No.1 position with 48.5%. She was followed by Park Mi-sun, Kim Jin-young, Park Ji-sun and Lee Kyung-jil In the sports stars section, the No. 1 position for the male and female sports stars went to Olympics swimmer Park Tae-Hwan (51.8%) and weight lifter Jang Mi-ran (55.3%). Other top male sports stars were Lee Seung-yub, Lee Yong-dae, Park Ji-sung and Choi Min-ho while other top female sports stars were Kim Yun-a, Pak Se-ri, Park Song-hyon and Lee Hyo-jong. |
