When she was passing a river, she saw a big and beautiful peach floating on the river and she quickly picked it up. Soon afer that, SYR was born. That day was 3rd March 1981. SYR was born in Germany. SYR's dad was doing his pastor master programme that time, and her mum was taking care of her 3 years old son and doing housework. When SYR turned 4, her dad completed his studies and the whole family moved back to Korea. "I was still very young that time, so I did not have much impression of Germany. But sometimes, I can still remember the trip to the Alps after looking at our family photos". The interest and talents in music are probably related to piano which she started learning at 7 years old. Piano is the companion of SYR until she graduated from Middle School. At that time, she strongly believed that her dream is to be a pianist. However, one day when an ordinary high school student announced to the family that she wanted to be a singer, the whole family almost fell off from their chair. Like their son, the parents planned to send their daughter to study at a Medicine School, now that their hope was smashed, they were very disappointed. As SYR think back, it was as if she had a dream on how she was discovered by the Star Searcher. It was during an outing in her second year in high school that she was discovered. "At that time, I didn't know this person, there were many swindlers who pretended to be Star Searcher, so I thought he is a swindler and I did not think much of what he said. Until the day I went for audition, I still don't trust him even though I am very interested in it. But I thought it seems that the dream is entirely from a different world from mine. Frankly speaking, my heart may be filled with passion of youngsters and wanted to get away from the route that was planned by my family, and i wanted to do something that I love." The one month from audition to practice session, SYR couldn't bear to tell her parents, she was worried that they will be very angry. Initially she intend to keep it a secret for the time being. However, as the time passed, she felt more difficult to tell them. Everyday, she is acting like a wild cat, rushing to and from the house and training centre. One month later, she could not take it anymore and decided to tell her parents. Her dad scolded her and forbided her to step out of the house. Day after day, the objections from his parents weakened, she finally became part of FIN.K.L. members and started participating in activities. "Daddy has the strongest objections. Eventually, he is the one collecting articles about me from internet and constantly giving me encouragement". A high school student who loves to eat rice cake and take sticker photos with friends became a singer, is such a dream. There is this saying, God hides the charms/meaning in every difficult job, those who are willing to do it will discover it. SYR is probably such person. Attractive appearance is one of the factors of her success, her courage from the very beginning is the reason why she could sustain till now. SYR has a pair of big round eyes. The look of her eyes is more expressive than her facial expression. They seem to tell a thousand words and yet no desire to say anything. She admitted that after becoming an artiste, she became overly worried. For example, when standing in front of the mirror, she just feels that her baby fat is not balance and is unhappy with her figure. However, her self confidence and her capability actually made her not to be too worried about this. She discovered that sometimes when she give up something she desire, her life will be happier. It does not matter if God does not favor her, she has high tolerance level, when she couldn't take it, she will eat or go traveling to de-stress. "During these few years, I discovered something interesting, I like to go to different places filled with natural atmosphere. When the plane is a few thousand miles in the sky, you will discover that this world is very very big, actually the thing happening on you is very very small. Is it worth troubling over it?"

She joined the entertainment circle since 17 years old, she was filled with shyness and warmth. However, her face still continue to glow. SYR's road to success seems smooth sailing because she has a clear and porcelain face with lily-liked, elegant expressions, when she smiles, she looks so pure and impressive. Each member of FIN.K.L. has a colour to represent them, SYR is white. "Because I am too shy, when I see stranger, I can't even say a sentence well, so Fin.K.L. members passed white colour to me." Very strange, SYR said that when she was little, she did many bad things. There was once she was curious over the fire extinguisher, so she tried opening the one in a small box. A lot of white foam came out and the alarm rang. In the end, she still managed to escape from the police and her neighbour. However, when this little girl grow older, she became a very shy girl who doesn't talk to stranger. FIN.K.L. members split up in 2002. Each of the members headed different directions for their development and SYR chose hosting program and acting. There was once she kept asking herself, between singing and acting, which one she likes more? Until the end of the same year, in MBC award ceremony, she won over Jang Na Ra to become the best new comer actress that she felt relieved. After 6 years of singing career, this girl has finally found her direction. "In the past, i used to think that singing will be my career. However, after so many years, I found out that I love singing but acting is my career.
