the original soundtrack (ost) is collecting high popularity even before the movie opened to the public. "memory of midair" had been put on the market on december 14 with the 2 theme songs by popular singers Wheesung and Maybee respectively. the popularity of the ost is exceptional as it has been getting requests from other countries including Japan to acquire it"s sales though there was no special promotion done for this "memory of midair" ost album in other countries. the lyrics were requested frm the writers in each country and a deliberate recording was done while correcting the pronunciations to make the pronunciations near those of the native speakers heard in the Japanese version and the Chinese version of the songs.

After the success of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2000, wuxia has become one of the hottest genres in the international market. Moved by new trends and improved production values, Chungmuro has also recently rediscovered this lost art with works such as Shadowless Sword and Musa: The Warrior. The latest wuxia film to emerge from Korea is The Restless, which brings back many of the people who made Musa so special, including music director Sagisu Shiro, now director Jo Dong Oh, and of course lead Jung Woo Sung. Memory also marks the official film debut of small-screen starlet Kim Tae Hee of Stairway to Heaven. Focusing on the love story of a spirit in limbo between death and the next world and a warrior who can"t forget his dead lover, The Restless promises to be one of the most interesting films of the year.

Reflecting its international influences (shot in China, Japanese music and costume director), Memory of The Restless features three language versions of the two main songs, with Wheesung and Maybee singing the Korean versions. The songs were previously included on digital singles released by the two singers on November 11 and 26, 2006, to promote the film. "The Crescent Moon", written by famous lyricist Park Geun Tae and composed by Sagisu Shiro, is Wheesung"s comeback single after switching record companies six months ago. The song Memory of The Restless features rising star Maybee along with a 64-piece orchestra in a Maybee-style ballad. The song was produced by Kim Geon Woo and fits perfectly with the scale of the film.

Optimistic Kim TAE HEE also becomes tense in rare cases. Kim Tae Hee whom I met in one cafe in Samchungdong, Seoul on the 18th looked irritated. I asked for her impressions on coming out onscreen with "The Restless" (released on the 21st). She said, "It seems that my heart will be very painful if a result which is not good comes out." Kim Tae Hee was also not able to draw the load of her performance. "When the filming for a drama finishes, the broadcast will also finish together around the same time. However for a movie, there is a long period of careful preparation and filming. I am reacting very anxiously after I finished doing the movie though it was not the case when I was doing dramas. My frank feelings is that I hope it is possible for it to do well."

A hesitant Kim Tae Hee was pulled to the screen by the charm of the character "So Hwa". So Hwa resembles her appearance and a feeling of confidence was also produced. Although filming was done mostly in China and she had to adapt to an unfamiliar environment, she said that it is possible for her to live as So Hwa whom she can express her appearance as it is and she had felt a large amount of happiness. Of course, here she shared an affirmative idea, "Naturally, it (the hardship) is something that you need to experience."

Movie "The Restless" is a fantasy which draws the love of Ee Gwak (Jung Woo Sung) and So Hwa in the space where dead souls prepare for their next life. The imagination of the world of the center of heaven between the sky and the ground is pictured perfectly using domestic CG technology completely. Kim Tae Hee was satisfied saying, "Although it was simply a blue background during filming, when I saw the movie, it came out beyond expectations. Especially wonderful is the first part when I fight against the action of Ee Gwak."

However, a regrettable portion is not in the completed film. The edited part was abundant and she had a heartache. "Although there were many portions which can show the character called So Hwa, such portions were cut. Also although I worried about whether the portions will be transmitted to the viewers directly, my worries were reduced when the reaction to the preview of the film was good."

The clothes of the movie "The Restless" is taken over by "column" designer Emi Wada who had won an academy clothes prize and concern was added. Clothes are positively the field of interest of Kim TAE HEE who studied clothing in Seoul National University and her title hangs around.

"With the clothes, it was easy to do the character by making the best use of the image of pure So Hwa. Especially, I was actually surprised to see the army"s clothes because it piles up the designer"s imagination."

To the question whether she has any intention to try and design directly, she replied back, "When I am absorbed in one, I will only do that one thing. I am not able to dream about making clothes the way I once did." Kim Tae Hee who came to have her dream of acting delayed by one step clarified her ambition, "Though it is also very awkward to express myself as my shy character gets in the way, I think that I do it ardently by the resolution that I want to act throughout my life and I see it now."

"A lot of situations have been advantageous though I am still not accomplished. Although I have done drama auditions and seen the number of times the cast is changed in that process, the width which I can choose from has become larger now. There"s a percentage of truth that I want to do well in a performance because of the money I get."

There is an atmosphere that her acting is also true because she went up to the star class ahead of time by her dramas. She is satisfied in seeing that as a possibility.

"I am fulfilled. Having accepted the character called So Hwa in the state of a blank paper, I became So Hwa during filming and perfected myself. I also became stronger and mature. If I am told to film this movie again, perhaps it seems that I will not be able to make it the same way. I took it with no regret."
