His Majesty Thai King is someone I really admire, respect and very much find Him to be one of the people that has done so much for others in this world. I am Thai born Indian native who has been living here since last 4 generations & I found that Thai people really respect Him so much. Every Thai home will have a shrine to Him & worship Him like diety. Rightly so. He has done so much for his people as He loves them as the members of His family. He is well educated and spent His whole life touring every part of the Thai kingdom to improve the living standard of His people. From improving farming methods, giving lectures, leading them through out crisis, and being the Thai peoples' pillar of strength. I studied abroad since childhood. So, I may not have much details about Him. But whatever I know is really enough to judge His works & deeds. If you pick up any book on Him, then only you will know how much He has done and how devoted He is to his people. We Thais are really fortunate to have been living under His reign. He is also a very devoted Buddhist where He has become a monk before. He needs not kneel to anyone in His country as He is considered the supreme. But in front of sangha or reknowned senior monks, this Great King will be on the ground prostrate to the monks. Or helping them to walk, or making offerings to them. Fantastic humanity, respect for sangha, and great example of a Buddhist layman. I have admired His Majesty since I first read of him many years back. I do not admire him in a political capacity. His love & dedications towards His people is above the politics. My post here on him is not as a political figure. But my admiration for him is as a great human being, a kind hearted person and someone who works for others. My praise of Him is as a great human being. He is a great hero for me. I admire people who use their lives for others which is very very rare in this selfish world. I admire Him tremendously up till now. May He live long and bring further happiness to His people. He is binding force for all Thais. His blessing is strength for we Thais. Therefore, we Thais should all stand together for our "Father", His Majesty The King, no matter what colour we love (Red, yellow,etc). My eyes filled with tears when I saw His Majesty on TV on the day He sit on boat & went for the opening of bridges recently, Bhumibol 1 & Bhumibol 2. May His health remain like this for thousand of years to come. I am sure we all Thais have the same feeling when we saw His Majesty on TV on that particular day. As Thai, I am really proud of Him & wish all countries should have Head of the State like Him who cares just only for His people. 5th December should be declare as "oath taking day" where on this particular day, people should forget all differences & come together to celebrate like as festival. Wish Red leaders & Yellow leaders, atleast on this particular day, should join hands so that the country can move forward towards prosperity. WE LOVE THE KING. WE LOVE "FATHER'
